Lei Day – Update
What an incredible success our first Lei Day in our valley was.
We raised $660 selling flower Lei’s all in support of the Comox Valley Transition Society. I am looking forward to next years event being even better!
Thank you to all those who helped string together the flower Lei’s and all those who gave us live music at Goose Spit Park on May 2nd.
Thank you all!

Sunday May 2nd I was at Goose Spit Park in Comox, BX with a team of volunteers crafting and selling flower Lei’s, all in support of the Comox Valley Transition Society.
A special thanks to Vivian Vaillant and her friends and family for their help. Same to Jennifer Brown and her friend Margaret for helping as well.
We had musical guests too. I ‘d like to thank Anton Knight and his friends, Tom Cat and Blue Labatte for playing some great tunes. Also my friend Oaklin C for playing some great music too.
A special thank you Thrifty foods on Cliffs and flower shop manager Kim Wright for making an incredible donation of flowers.
Together we raised just over $500 for the Comox Valley Transition Society. I was thrilled by all the love and support shown by this community. It was a huge success considering it was the inaugural year. This has the makings of an annual event!
I am looking forward to stories of random acts of kindness as those wearing lei’s go out and be kind on May 5th!
