JD The Flowerman was invited by Healthy Comox in the spring of 2022 to talk about resilience to a sold out crowd at the outdoor amphitheater in Filberg Park. First to speak was Sunniva Sorby. Sunniva is an expeditioner, historian, guide, citizen scientist, and a fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society. Sunniva is best known for her membership of the first women’s team to reach the South Pole in 1993. Sunniva continues to tour the world promoting environmental issues giving talks on many international stages and participates in many climate driven excursions. Sunniva has become a wonderful host and a good friend since our introduction.
